Representatives of the United States, Ukraine, and some European countries intend to hold a meeting in the UK this weekend to coordinate their position on the eve of the summit between US and Russian presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
This was reported by Axios, citing sources, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the portal, Ukraine and some NATO allies are privately expressing concern that the head of the White House may agree to the Russian dictator’s proposal to end the conflict without taking into account their positions.
The idea of holding a meeting at which the parties “tried to develop a common position” arose during a conversation between Ukrainian, American and European officials on Friday.
However, the details of the meeting and the composition of the participants are still being agreed upon.
Prior to that, Trump said he expects to meet with Putin on August 15 in Alaska. The Russian dictator’s aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed the words of the White House.
