Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Kyiv on an official visit. This was reported by The Times of India, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
This is the first visit of the Prime Minister of India to Ukraine since the country gained independence in 1991.
It is noted that Modi is visiting Ukraine at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In Kyiv, the Indian community gathered for a meeting of the diaspora with Prime Minister Modi.
Modi’s visit to Kyiv comes almost six weeks after his high-profile trip to Moscow, which drew criticism from the United States and some of its Western allies.
Earlier , Bloomberg reported that the Indian prime minister will deliver a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday when he visits Ukraine.
In addition, India and Ukraine will also discuss the production of aircraft and aircraft engines and the joint development of gas turbines.
The Times of India reports that the Prime Minister of India will visit the National Museum of Ukraine, where he will honour the memory of Ukrainian children whose lives were taken by Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine
At the Mariinsky Palace, Prime Minister Modi will be met by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The two leaders will then meet in a closed-door meeting to discuss key issues. This will be followed by high-level meetings of the delegations, where important discussions on bilateral cooperation are expected to take place. Documents will be exchanged to formalise agreements and cooperation between the two countries.
