Prime Minister says when Kyiv will have electricity and water

After a large-scale night attack, a large part of Kyiv was left without electricity and water. Thanks to specialists, the electricity will be restored in Kyiv in the near future, and water will be restored as well.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the statement of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
This morning, Svyrydenko held a meeting with key ministries, state energy companies and all those responsible for the restoration work.

According to her, after the air raid alerts have been canceled, restoration work has begun in all regions, and repair teams are working. All necessary services were involved.
“Russia has struck another vile blow against civilian infrastructure, against the lives of people and communities. It was one of the largest concentrated strikes against energy facilities, a combined strike, a significant part of the missiles in the strike were ballistic missiles. Unfortunately, there is significant damage to the energy infrastructure,” the Prime Minister explained.
Svyrydenko said that in Kyiv and Kirovohrad region we expect full restoration of water supply by the end of the day.
“As for the power supply in the capital, the critical infrastructure has already been powered. Further work is ongoing. The Ministry of Energy will provide an update on the situation in a few hours,” she added.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that emergency shutdown schedules and special schedules are currently in effect in Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv and Sumy regions, which will be reported separately by the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo.
Alternative energy sources have been provided for the duration of the work:
- generators,
- points of indestructibility,
- additional communication.
The number of police patrols on the streets and in transport in Kyiv and other regions has been increased.

At the same time, during her speech to the Rada, Svyrydenko said that recovery work in the regions began immediately after the shutdown.
“Across the country it was at 7:29 am, and after that all the repairmen, power engineers, and everyone was involved in the service. We have relevant instructions for each region, and all services are working to restore power to subscribers as soon as possible. In Kyiv, we expect full restoration of water supply within a few hours,” she emphasized.
As a reminder, Russian troops attacked Ukraine on the night of October 10. The strikes were aimed at critical infrastructure facilities that ensure the daily life of citizens.
