Ukraine will be represented at the Oscars by the film La Palisade directed by Philip Sotnychenko. This was announced by the Ukrainian Oscar Committee, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Once upon a time, they were both in love with the victim’s widow. Immersed in a tangled case and long-forgotten memories, they create a future for their children to live in, inheriting their parents’ unfulfilled aspirations.
“La Palisade won awards at the Turin, Vilnius and Rotterdam film festivals.
