President announces pension increase in spring

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a pension increase starting in the spring. He made the announcement in an evening address following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council with government officials, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“It is important: we are ready for the spring with the indexation of pensions, it will be from March 1,” he said.
As the president emphasized, “no matter how difficult it is, we are finding funds to help all Ukrainians, Ukrainian producers.”
He also mentioned ePromotion. According to him, almost UAH 13 billion has been paid directly to Ukrainian families as part of the initiative.
“The number of participants in the program proves its relevance and the need for similar direct support programs. There are already more than 5 million customers of the National Cashback program, which is also a number of participants that speaks for itself. We are working to increase all support formats that are effective. And this will be – I have given the relevant instructions to the government,” Zelensky said.
The President said that during the NSDC meeting, some key issues were discussed regarding Ukraine’s financial stability and financial discipline.
