Kenyan President William Ruto has asked his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy to release the Kenyans taken prisoner in the war zone.

He summarized the conversation on his page on the social network X, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to him, during the conversation, he noted his concern that “young Kenyans were illegally recruited” to participate in hostilities in Ukraine.

“I have asked President Zelensky to facilitate the release of any Kenyan who is in custody in Ukraine,” Ruto said.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that at least 1,436 citizens from 36 African countries are fighting against the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the combat zone. According to him, the figure may be higher. We are talking only about identified soldiers in the ranks of the occupiers.

Africans in the Russian army are sent to “meat assaults”

Foreign citizens in the Russian army have a sad fate. Most of them are immediately sent to so-called “meat assaults” where they are quickly killed. The Russian command realizes that they will not be held accountable for the killed foreigner, so they are treated as second-rate, expendable human material.

According to the Foreign Minister, most mercenaries do not live more than a month. But there are two ways to avoid this fate.
