Valeriy Zaluzhnyi has officially taken up his duties as Ambassador to the United Kingdom. This was reported by
Zaluzhnyi said he had taken up his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The diplomat has already handed over copies of his credentials to Victoria Busby, Vice Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Royal Palace, Head of the Forin Office’s Protocol Unit.
“I continue to serve Ukraine. The victory of Ukraine in the war against the Russian aggressor remains the main priority of my work and the work of the Embassy,” Valeriy Zaluzhnyi wrote.

As you know, on 8 February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was replaced by Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The media reported that Zaluzhnyi had undergone a military qualification examination in the winter, where he was declared unfit for military service, and in February he wrote a letter of resignation from military service.
