Professor of Lviv National University Yosyp Los fired

Professor Yosyp Los of Lviv National University has been fired after being accused of sexual harassment less than a month ago. The man denies everything.
This was reported to Suspilne by the acting dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Marian Lozynsky, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The corresponding decree has already been signed by the acting rector of the university.
What was the reason for the dismissal?
Journalist Kateryna Rodak wrote about the harassment by Yosyp Los on Facebook. She described the events that happened to her at the age of 19.
According to her, Yosyp Los locked himself in his office with her to take a test, and “at some point he took my hand and started stroking it, lifting up the sleeve of his sweater.” He also said that it was time for the girl to get pregnant, stop hanging out with her friends, and not wear jeans with exposed knees because it “excites and distracts teachers.” In the comments under Kateryna Rodak’s post, other women also shared their stories.
on February 26, Professor Los was suspended from the university. He denied all charges against him. Information about harassment was also checked by the police.
On March 3, the Commission on Ethics and Professional Activity of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv recommended that the rector of the university dismiss the professor.
Sofia Romaniv, a student of the Faculty of Journalism at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, wrote a letter of withdrawal from the university.
She explained that she was leaving the university because of the reaction of the Faculty of Journalism to the accusations of harassment by Professor Yosyp Los.
Professor of the Department of Foreign Press and Information at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Yosyp Los began teaching in 1971. Before that, he worked in editorial offices.
