Weather forecast: it will gradually get warmer in Ukraine by the end of the week

Over the course of the week, Ukraine will gradually get warmer: night frosts will stop and northern air masses will be replaced by southern ones. Natalia Ptukha, a forecaster at the Ukrainian Weather Centre, told this in an exclusive commentary to [comersant ].
“Cool nights are still in place. In the next two days, in some places in the western and northern regions, there may even be some frosts on the soil surface. But the temperature at night will already be 4… 9, and tomorrow it will warm up to 11… 16. Transcarpathia remains the warmest – 17… 21”,
– the forecaster said.
According to her, it will become significantly warmer closer to the weekend, when warm air masses come to Ukraine.
“Starting from the 18th and 19th, closer to the weekend, even from the 17th, there will be a more noticeable warming, without frosts. The temperature in the afternoon on the 17th will be 15… 20 degrees, in Transcarpathia – up to 23. The main thing is that the wind will change on 16-17. Currently, air flows from the northeast prevail on the territory of Ukraine, and then they will become southeast. That is, the southern component will appear and, accordingly, it will be a little warmer,”

The temperature is expected to reach 6… 12 degrees at night, and during the day the temperature across the country will reach 16… 22. on 19 May, the south-western part of Ukraine will warm up to 25 degrees Celsius.
“We don’t expect rapid warming and summer heat this week, or at the beginning of next week. But at least the temperature will reach 20 degrees from time to time and stay within these limits. That is, we hope there will be no more cold nights like this one,”
