On January 29, Ukraine will mostly remain under the influence of high atmospheric pressure, which will contribute to relatively calm weather. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ukrainian Weather Center.
However, the western regions are expected to be affected by an inactive atmospheric front, which will bring light rain in some places.
Air temperature:
- At night, thermometers will show 2…7°C. In the eastern regions, a slight frost is possible, the temperature will range from -2°C to 3°C.
- During the day, a comfortable 5…10°C is expected in most areas. In the southern and western regions, temperatures will rise to spring-like 9…14°C.
Precipitation
Western Ukraine will feel the approach of an atmospheric front from Western Europe, which will cause short-term rains. The rest of the country will remain dry.
Fog
In the eastern regions, fog is possible at night and in the morning, which may reduce visibility on the roads.

Wind
The wind is mainly from the south, moderate, at a speed of 5-10 m/s. In the Carpathians, gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are expected, which may make it difficult to stay in open areas of the mountains.
Avalanche danger
The 3rd level of danger has been declared in Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions. There is a risk of avalanches due to the thaw.
