Weather forecast for June 5: a powerful heat wave will cover Ukraine

Today, June 5, most of Ukraine will be affected by a warm air mass coming from the western regions. Despite the fresh night, forecasters promise rapid air warming during the day due to low clouds and sunlight. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The atmospheric pressure will remain high, so precipitation is unlikely – only in the afternoon in the northwest there may be short-term rain with a thunderstorm.
There will be partly cloudy skies throughout the day. In general, the day will be dry and comfortable, but in Rivne, Volyn and partly Zhytomyr regions there may be short-term rains with thunderstorms.
The wind will be mainly from the south, in the eastern regions – from the north, 5-10 meters per second. In the Carpathians, wind gusts during the day can reach 15-20 m/s.
The temperature background remains comfortable for the beginning of summer. At night, thermometers will show 11…16°, in the mountainous regions of the Carpathians – 9…14°. During the day, the temperature is expected to reach 23…28° across the country, and up to 31° in the southwest. In the Carpathians, it will be slightly cooler: 18… 23°.
