Oleksandr Krasiuk, the promoter of world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, believes that his client defeated Tyson Fury by three points. Krasiuk said this in an interview with the Boxing King Media YouTube channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Krasiuk said that he constantly counts points during Usyk’s fights. According to him, his personal scorecard clearly shows Usyk’s victory.
“I did the counting myself. I got 7-5 in favour of Usyk. But this is at least. Usually, I count the points in Usyk’s fights. It was the same in the fight with Chisora – I got almost a draw, a very close fight. There were similar close results in the fights with Joshua, but Usyk’s opponents have never beaten him on points. So I had no doubts. I hugged him and congratulated him on his victory, because there was no other option,”
– he said.
On the night of 19 May, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) won the title of absolute world heavyweight champion in a fight against British boxer Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). Usyk defeated Fury by split decision: Usyk 115-112, Fury 114-113, Usyk 114-113.
