Prozorro Awards 2024: the best Ukrainian procurers and suppliers have been determined

Ukrainian companies operating in the procurement industry that have achieved significant success in public procurement this year were honored at the Prozorro Awards 2024 ceremony. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
At the ceremony, it was noted that the volume of competitive procurement over the past two years has increased from 348 billion hryvnias to 625, which is almost twice as much. In the defense sector, these figures have also doubled – from 52 to 126 billion hryvnias.
“This year, we have implemented many changes – the launch of the defense framework, the first procurement of humanitarian demining services, the introduction of procurement according to the rules of international donors, the development of a new draft law “On Public Procurement” and the opening of negotiations on EU accession, which began with a screening of public procurement. And each of these steps has yielded extraordinary results,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
Who won this year’s Prozorro Awards
The winners among procuring entities were determined in various nominations:
– Best Procuring Entity of the Year – Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 4 of Dnipro City Council
– Fighter for Transparency – Military Unit 3078 of the National Guard of Ukraine
– Savings of the Year – State Enterprise of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “State Logistics Operator”
– Fighter for Success – Sykhiv District Administration of Lviv City Council
– Best Competition – State Enterprise of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Defense Procurement Agency”
– Non-discrimination of the Year – Municipal Enterprise “Volyn Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine”
– Best planning – National Bank of Ukraine
– Defending fair procurement – Naftogaz Teplo LLC
– Champion of compliance with procedures – Kremenets Professional Lyceum
– Champion of Reporting – JSC Ukrtransnafta
– Pioneer of the Year – State Enterprise of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Defense Procurement Agency”.
For the first time, Prozorro Awards also honored suppliers in these categories:
– Powerful Contract – PJSC Ukrnafta
– Diplomat of the Year – Okhtyrka Meat Product LLC
– Tender machine – Epicenter K LLC
– Wrestler of the Year – Curator.UA LLC
– Breakthrough of the Year – Calheon LLC.
The Prozorro Awards also recognized Yelyzaveta Chip from NGL.media for her high-profile investigation into the overpriced school textbooks and the Kharkiv Anti-Corruption Center for its systematic work in exposing corruption schemes.
The Prozorro system is delivering and will continue to deliver results
According to Corey Johnston, USAID Mission to Ukraine, “Prozorro has helped to break the legacy of non-transparent procurement in Ukraine, saving taxpayers nearly $9.8 billion since its implementation, a powerful testament to the transformative power of openness and competition in public spending.
“Transparency through Prozorro is not only a tool for reconstruction, but also a cornerstone on Ukraine’s path to becoming a strong, democratic state ready to join the EU. The United States will continue to support Prozorro and Ukraine’s comprehensive efforts to modernize its public procurement system,” said Cory Johnston.
Mykola Tkachenko, Director General of SE Prozorro, shared plans for innovations in the Prozorro system in 2025. According to him, next year the Prozorro team will “focus on the introduction of electronic contracts and the introduction of artificial intelligence-based technologies into procurement processes, improvements to Prozorro Market and integrations with various state registries.”
