“It will bring what we are all waiting for.” Budanov intrigued by the forecast for 2025

the year 2025 will definitely be better than 2024 and will bring optimistic news to Ukrainians, the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said on the air of a national telethon on Tuesday, December 31, [Komersant] reports.
“Last year, a journalist asked me what my expectations were for 2024. And I said quite honestly that, unfortunately, 2024 will be a very difficult year. I am much more optimistic about 2025. 2025 will definitely be better than this year,” Budanov said.
The DIU chief added that in 2025 we will see a lot of good events, which will eventually “bring us what we are all waiting for.”
Kirill Budanov also touched upon the topic of Russia’s future.
“If Russia does not come to its senses by mid-2025, they will definitely have to make very difficult decisions regarding their financial and economic system,” he said.
The head of Ukrainian intelligence also emphasized that in 2025 it will be necessary to find a solution to the use of fiber-optic FPV drones by Russia.
“We are winning the drone war. But the Russians have started using fiber optic drones on a massive scale. This is a huge problem for us, because it is impossible to stop them with electronic warfare, meaning the use of FPV drones. This is this year’s know-how and trend. Next year, we will all work together to find a technological solution to deal with the huge number of such devices,” Budanov explained.
