PrivatBank puts Dnipro-Arena stadium and football base up for sale

PrivatBank has announced the sale of one of Dnipro’s largest sports complexes, the Dnipro Arena stadium and the adjacent football training facility, via the Prozorro system. The move is part of the bank’s strategy to reduce its real estate portfolio, which was transferred to its balance sheet after nationalization as collateral for loans. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Inventure.

Details of the objects for sale

The Dnipro-Arena stadium (formerly known as Metallurg) is located at 7 Khersonska Street, Dnipro. Opened after reconstruction in 2008, it has a capacity of 31,003 spectators.

The arena is equipped with:

  • A football field (105×68 m) with heating and automatic irrigation;
  • Training and locker rooms;
  • Media and referee rooms;
  • VIP box with 296 seats;
  • Restaurant with 550 seats;
  • Parking lots for athletes, staff and spectators.

The football field is equipped with a heating system, automatic irrigation and artificial lighting system for matches in the evening. Near the stadium there are parking lots for business class and VIP for 95 cars; for athletes – for 4 buses and 41 cars; for television – for 3 buses; for press – for 70 cars; for spectators of the opposing team – for 12 buses and 10 cars; for spectators – for 110 cars. The total area of the land plot: 6.9494 hectares.

The football training base, located in the forest park zone of the residential area of Prydniprovsk (12 and 14 Mykhailo Didevycha Lane), was built in 1971 and reconstructed in 2010. It includes:

  • Three artificial and four grass fields;
  • An indoor arena with stands for 506 seats;
  • A cottage town for football players’ accommodation;

Two office and residential buildings with a medical and rehabilitation center, conference room, swimming pool, gym, sauna and showers.

Transparent sale through Prozorro

The sale of sports facilities will take place under an open procedure through the Prozorro platform, which will ensure transparency and the possibility of participation for everyone. The auction will allow the bank to sell the property, which it received as collateral for loans, in a manner consistent with the principles of openness and competition.
