Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, who continues to kill Ukrainians, has asked Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to respond to Israel’s assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh with restraint. This was reported by Reuters , citing Iranian sources, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to Reuters’ interlocutors, the head of the Kremlin regime, which has unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine, allegedly advised his Iranian counterpart to “avoid attacks on Israeli civilians.”
The newspaper’s sources say that Putin specially sent his longtime ally, former Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, to Tehran to deliver this message. Two Iranian sources who were present at Shoigu’s meeting with Iranian officials say that Moscow advised Tehran to avoid attacks on Israeli civilians.
The sources claim that Shoigu’s visit was just one of several ways Moscow used to convey to Iran the need for restraint to prevent war in the Middle East.
Tehran, in turn, pressured Moscow to deliver Russian-made Su-35 fighter jets, according to sources involved in the meeting in Tehran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry did not provide Reuters with a comment. On Monday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Tehran does not seek to increase regional tensions but must punish Israel to prevent further instability.
Reuters sources also said that the Middle East is on the verge of a major war, and that Ghani’s assassination is an alleged attempt to “provoke a conflict”.
On 5 August, the US President gathered his national security team and planned a conversation with the King of Jordan. All this is against the backdrop of fears that Iran will attack Israel. According to The New York Times, Iran has turned to Russia for help in the context of a possible large-scale war. It asked for modern air defence systems and radars. At the same time, on 5 August, former Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Iran to meet with the country’s new President Massoud Peseshkian and the commander of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Mohammad Bagheri.
