Question of the week: Podoliak tells when Zaluzhnyi will start working as ambassador to the UK

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi will begin his official work as ambassador to the UK in the coming weeks. Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak said this on a TV channel, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
“Officially, everything has already been clarified, I mean regarding the agriman and protocol procedures through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. That is, he (Zaluzhnyi – ed.) will officially be an ambassador, this issue has been going on for weeks,”
– podolyak said.
He stressed that some “logistical” components remain to be resolved and emphasised that the “politicisation” of Zaluzhnyi’s name can be forgotten, and that society should react more calmly to any rotation of managerial staff in the future.
“I don’t see any politicisation of Mr Zaluzhny’s name anymore, and I think we should be calm about any rotation of management personnel, because war is a significant crisis phenomenon, and people can leave for other jobs. This is a normal process for any healthy society,”

on 8 February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed General Valeriy Zaluzhnyy from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later it became known that Zaluzhnyi could take up the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom. on 7 March, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the “launch of the appointment procedure” for the ambassador, and recently it became known that Zaluzhnyi had received an agriman from the UK.
