The Verkhovna Rada has failed to vote in the second reading on the law on fines for violating the curfew. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Bill No. 10195 on administrative liability for curfew violations was supported by only 190 MPs. The bill’s return to the first reading also failed.
“The return was also failed (216 votes). The law is considered rejected in its entirety,”
– zheleznyak said.
It should be noted that the Rada passed the bill in the first reading in December 2023. In January 2024, the Rada did not find the votes to support the draft law on administrative liability for curfew violations in the second reading and in general. Today, the second vote was repeated.
The document stipulated that fines for curfew violators would range from UAH 8,500 to UAH 17,000, and double that for repeat violations.
For businesses, fines were envisaged in the amount of UAH 51,000 to 102,000, and for repeated violations – from UAH 170,000 to 340,000.
