Radio dictation 2025: when Ukrainians will test their literacy

The All-Ukrainian radio dictation of national unity will take place next month. It will be held on the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, October 27. This was reported by Suspilne, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
It is noted that the radio dictation will be broadcast live on all Suspilne platforms – television, radio and online – and will be available to viewers and listeners around the world.
According to Yulia Sheludko, the coordinator of the radio dictation and executive producer of Ukrainian Radio, this year a record number of people and companies were interested in the date and conditions of the dictation, planning to participate in a corporate way.
The publication emphasized that last year more than half a million people joined the Radio Dictation of National Unity. About 10 thousand letters were sent for review from more than 30 countries.
Last year, the text for the radio dictation was written by Oksana Zabuzhko and read by poet and military man Pavlo Vyshebaba. It is not yet known who will be the author and reader this year.
As a reminder, in 2024, the Radio Dictation of National Unity was written without a single mistake by only one Ukrainian woman who has been participating in the dictation for more than 20 years in a row. In contrast, only five participants made two mistakes each.
