A rocket attack on Chernihiv: 13 dead, 60 injured

In Chernihiv, the death toll from the Russian army’s missile attacks on the morning of 17 April is rapidly rising. The new figures on the victims of the Russian army attack were announced by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Komersant ukrainskyi

As a result of the Russian strike, an eight-storey building was destroyed, four high-rise buildings, a hospital, a higher education institution, and dozens of cars were damaged.
“13 dead and more than 60 injured in Chernihiv. Two children are among the victims,”
– the Interior Minister said in a statement.
By the way, more than an hour ago, the minister informed about 11 victims of the Russian Federation’s strike. In addition, at least three people were reported missing.
According to him, a 25-year-old police lieutenant was among those killed in the Russian shelling. The woman lived in a neighbouring house and was at home on sick leave. She received a fatal shrapnel wound.
According to the State Emergency Service, as of 12:47 a.m., 13 people were preliminarily killed and 61 others were injured, including 2 children. Three people were rescued from the rubble.
People are likely still trapped under the rubble of the partially destroyed building.
