The Accounting Chamber Launches Financial Audit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine (ACU) has launched a financial audit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the institution’s press service.

According to the Accounting Chamber, the purpose of the audit is to assess the correctness, completeness of accounting, and reliability of the consolidated financial and consolidated budgetary statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 2025.

“The auditors will also find out whether such statements demonstrate in all material respects an objective and reliable financial position of the Ministry, its performance, and cash flows for the year,”

– the ACU reported.

The control measure is carried out by specialists of the Department of Control (Audit) in the field of state functions, digital transformation, state property management and economic protection. Kyrylo Klymenko, a member of the Accounting Chamber, was appointed responsible for the audit.

According to the Accounting Chamber representatives, the results of the financial audit of the MFA will help to

  • increase the transparency and accountability of the state;
  • improving the quality of the Ministry’s financial information;
  • fulfillment of European integration requirements.

The audit report is scheduled to be published in June 2026.

Financial audits of government agencies are an important tool for ensuring transparency in the use of budget funds and improving the efficiency of central executive authorities.
