Morning Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia: a drone hits a high-rise building, there are victims

The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with Shaheds, one of which hit a high-rise building. As a result, a fire broke out, and two people were injured. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the head of Zaporizhzhia’s Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov on Telegram.
According to the head of the regional administration, the drone attacked the regional center in the morning. The drone hit caused a fire in a residential building.
Emergency services units quickly worked at the scene, and residents of the upper floors were evacuated.
As of the morning, it is known that
- a man sustained shrapnel wounds;
- a woman suffered carbon monoxide poisoning.
The victims were provided with medical aid. Work to eliminate the consequences of the attack continued.
Why Zaporizhzhia is under attack from Russia again
Zaporizhzhia is regularly targeted by Russian attack drones used to damage civilian infrastructure.
The drones are launched at night or in the morning, which complicates the response and increases the risks to civilians.
Only on December 14, Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia with bombs. As a result:
- 14 people were injured;
- a grocery store in one of the city’s neighborhoods was hit;
- cars caught fire in another neighborhood.
The number of wounded grew throughout the day, indicating the scale of the attack.
