Repairs on the border with Poland: traffic at Ustyluh is partially blocked until December
18 July 20:10
The Service for Infrastructure Restoration and Development in Volyn Oblast has announced the extension of the current repair of the Ukrainian part of the Ustyluh-Zosin international road checkpoint until the end of December 2025. The works, which started in May, are accompanied by partial traffic restrictions – traffic is allowed only in separate lanes, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
In this regard, the State Customs Service urges citizens to take into account the restrictions in advance when planning border crossings. This is especially true during peak periods. Currently, there is a significant increase in the traffic of cars and irregular buses through the checkpoint.
According to the Volyn Customs, the load on the Ustyluh checkpoint has increased due to the summer vacation and recreation season and the prolonged ban on passenger car traffic through the nearby Yahodyn checkpoint.
The Customs Service recommends citizens to
- plan your route in advance, choosing less busy checkpoints;
- pay attention not only to the geographical distance, but also to the actual workload of the exit points;
- use the official map of checkpoint congestion from the State Customs Service.
The customs service also called on Ukrainians to be tolerant and use the infrastructure on both sides of the border rationally.
