An electronic military registration document is now available in the Reserve mobile application. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation Kateryna Chernogorenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The app now also includes a QR code for easy verification of data by the military registration and enlistment office or the police.
An electronic military ID card is an analogue of a paper document with a barcode. An electronic document has the same legal force as a paper document.
“Now you don’t have to carry a paper military ID card or a lost registration certificate with you,”
– the developers note.
Until now, persons liable for military service were issued a military registration document with a barcode (VIN), which is an identification code automatically assigned by the Register of Persons Liable for Military Service “Oberig”.
In addition, the Reserve now allows military personnel to correct incorrect data and deregister.
By scanning the code, TCCs or police officers will be able to instantly obtain information from the Oberig register about a citizen’s status as a person liable for military service, conscript or reservist.
Earlier, Chernogorenko said that starting from 18 June, information from the Oberih register should be equated to an electronic military registration document.
“On 18 June, the QR code will be fully available in the mobile application. You will need to request your information from Oberig, receive it with a QR code, and expect it to be an equivalent military registration document,” she explained,
– she explained.
The QR code will also be read by the relevant officials through the app, and no additional equipment will be required.
