According to available information, after 6:00 p.m., Russian drones struck a residential building in Sumy. Following the first attack, it was reported that the roof of the five-story building had been damaged. At that time, one woman sought help due to a stress reaction.
Later, Oleg Grigorov reported another attack. This time, a Russian drone struck another high-rise building, which sustained severe damage.
Where did the Russians strike?
According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, residential buildings were specifically targeted. At least two five-story buildings in the city were hit.
The official emphasized that this was a targeted strike on civilian infrastructure. Thus, Russia once again struck not military targets, but residential areas where civilians live.
How many people were injured
Fourteen people were injured as a result of Russian drone strikes on residential buildings in Sumy.
According to Oleg Grigorov, most of the victims are elderly people. Among them, an 87-year-old woman was hospitalized.
A 14-year-old boy is also among the injured. He received the necessary medical care on the spot.
