Russia is preparing a strike on Independence Day: US Embassy warns of increased threat

The US Embassy in Kyiv has warned American citizens of the threat of Russian air strikes in connection with the celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Day on 24 August. The message is published on the website of the US agency, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The warning applies to all regions of Ukraine and is related to the upcoming Independence Day, which is celebrated on 24 August.
“According to the US Embassy in Kyiv, there is an increased risk of both night and daytime Russian drone and missile attacks throughout Ukraine over the next few days and through the weekend in connection with Ukraine’s Independence Day on 24 August,” the statement reads.

- Immediately move to a shelter when an alarm is announced.
