Russian missiles strike Dnipro and region: there are dead, many wounded

On the night of 20 April, Russian occupiers launched a missile attack on Dnipro and the region on the night of 19 April. There are dead and injured. This was reported by the head of the Dnipro regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ reports.

“It was a difficult night and morning. The region has experienced another massive attack. Some of the enemy targets were shot down by the air defence forces. In particular, nine missiles were shot down in the morning alone. And two more at night. Unfortunately, there were also hits,”

– the statement said.

The missile strikes in Dnipro resulted in the destruction of a residential building. In addition, two infrastructure facilities were damaged.

There are also dead and injured inSinelnikovo. Children are among the injured. One victim is in a serious condition.

Four private houses were destroyed and eight were damaged as a result of Russian shelling.

“At the moment, we know about 15 wounded in Dnipro. All of them are moderate. Kryvyi Rih – 3 people were injured. The same number in Sinelnikovo. Among them are 2 children. Unfortunately, one eight-year-old child died in hospital,”

– added Lysak.

In Pavlohrad, one of the enterprises was damaged as a result of the Russian attack.

Rescue operations are underway in Dnipro after the Russian attack. Several floors of an ordinary residential building were destroyed, and the railway station was damaged.

Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that 8 people were killed in the attack, including children aged 6 and 8.

“Emergency services are working at the sites of Russian strikes in the Dnipro region. In Dnipro, a five-storey residential building and civilian infrastructure were damaged. As of now, there are 2 dead and 16 wounded in the city. 30 people have received psychological assistance. More than a dozen private houses were damaged in the entire district of Sinelnikovo. Fires broke out and were quickly extinguished by rescuers. Six people died, including children aged 6 and 8. Two more people were injured,”

– klymenko said.

He added that the number of victims is likely to increase as the rubble of the damaged buildings continues to be cleared.

Victim assistance centres have been set up on the ground. Psychologists are working. The police are accepting statements from the victims.
