Russia strikes Odessa with drones: initial consequences of the nighttime shelling

On the night of Thursday, February 12, Russian occupation forces carried out a massive attack with strike drones on Odesa and the Odesa region. As a result of the shelling, damage to residential infrastructure was recorded, a business center and one of the infrastructure facilities were damaged. One casualty has been reported so far. This was announced by the head of the Odesa Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, on his Telegram channel, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, air defense forces were operating in the region during the air raid alert. At the same time, some of the enemy drones reached their targets.
“Damage to residential infrastructure and fires have been reported. Information about the victims is being clarified,” Lysak said.
The head of the city’s military administration reported that one of the infrastructure facilities in the city area was damaged during the attack. In addition, a business center was destroyed.
Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service, law enforcement officers, and municipal services are working at the sites of the strikes. The aftermath of the attack is being cleared up and the surrounding areas are being surveyed.
There is one casualty
According to preliminary information, at least one person was injured as a result of the attack. Medical personnel are providing the necessary assistance.
Information about other possible victims is being verified.
Some areas are without power
Local media report that power has been cut off in some parts of the Kyiv and Khadzhibey districts of Odesa. Power engineers are working to restore power.
The authorities are urging residents to remain in shelters during air raid sirens and to use only official sources of information.
Russian troops continue to systematically attack Ukraine’s civilian and critical infrastructure, causing destruction and threatening the lives of civilians.
