6 December 09:15

The western regions of Ukraine were under attack by Russian cruise missiles and UAVs. As a result, military aviation operations began in Polish airspace.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.

On the morning of December 6, the western regions of Ukraine were under attack by cruise missiles launched by the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported cruise missiles headed for Lviv, Ternopil, and Khmelnytsky regions, and UAVs attacked Volyn.

Due to the activity of Russian long-range aviation, military aviation operations began in Polish airspace.

In accordance with existing procedures, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces activated the necessary forces and means at its disposal. Fighter jets were taken into the air, and ground-based air defense and radar systems were put on alert.

“These actions are preventive in nature and are aimed at ensuring airspace security and protection, especially in areas adjacent to regions under threat,” the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said in a statement.
