The level of Ukrainians’ trust in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues to decline, but is still high. This is evidenced by a sociological survey (16-22 May) conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to the survey, after the 2019 presidential and parliamentary elections, 80% of Ukrainians trusted Zelenskyy. However, by February 2022, the level of trust had gradually decreased to 37% (and on the eve of the Russian invasion, there were already more people who did not trust him).

After the Russian invasion, the level of trust rose to 90%. By the end of December 2023, the level of trust dropped to 77%, and by February 2024 – to 64%. As of May 2024, 59% trusted V. Zelenskyy, while 36% did not.

The KIIS notes that, in addition to the president’s own performance, it is important to understand the perception of his party, which has a majority in parliament.

55% of respondents assess the performance of the Servant of the People party as rather or very poor. One-third of respondents (31%) assess the party’s performance as neither good nor bad. And only 7% assess the party’s performance as rather or very good.
