NSDC made mistakes in the sanctions list: what is wrong with Poroshenko and Zhevago’s data
14 February 00:36
Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has made inaccuracies in a document on sanctions imposed on a number of well-known individuals, including businessman Kostyantyn Zhevago and the fifth president of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
As it turned out, the list of persons subject to sanctions contains an incorrect year of birth of businessman Konstantin Zhevago. The document states 1957, although Zhevago was actually born in 1974.
“Was Zhevago not sanctioned? If they meant businessman Kostiantyn Zhevago, he was born in 1974, not 1957. I understand the level of the people who are preparing this,” journalist Oleh Savchuk said.

It should be noted that the website of the Verkhovna Rada, where Zhevago was a member in 2014-2019, lists his birth year as 1974. This means that the businessman is currently 51 years old, which is more likely to be true.

However, this is not the only mistake in the official document. Petro Poroshenko’s tax number is also incorrect – it contains 11 digits instead of 10. This was pointed out by MP Iryna Gerashchenko, who publicly criticized the mistakes in the NSDC decision.
“In the NSDC decision, Petro Poroshenko’s identification code has 11 digits. And they added 15 years to Zhevoy’s age. Can you imagine on which knee Zelensky – Stefanchuk – Shmyhal were scratching all this?” Gerashchenko wrote on Facebook.

So far, officials have not commented on the errors in the document, but the situation has already attracted the attention of the public and political experts.
It is not yet known whether the sanctions list will be amended.
Indefinite sanctions against Petro Poroshenko and others: what is known
On February 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his traditional evening address that the National Security and Defense Council had imposed sanctions:
“Everyone who destroyed the national security of Ukraine and helped Russia must be held accountable.”
The President said that the billions earned by surrendering Ukraine’s interests should work for the benefit of Ukraine. He did not say whom exactly he meant.
After that, Poroshenko published an address and said that the sanctions were imposed against him. He called the decision unconstitutional.
