The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the procedure for employers to notify employees of the need to report to territorial recruitment centres (TSCs). Employers are now obliged to send summonses even to employees working remotely, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The changes were introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 563 of 16 May.
Now, if employees are working remotely or from home, are on sick leave, vacation or business trip, the employer must send them a summons to the TCC by registered mail or postal service with a list of attachments. Copies of these orders and information about the notification must be sent to the TCC within 3 days.
Previously, such a procedure was not clearly spelled out for employees who are not at the workplace. Employers simply issued a notification order and sent a copy of it to the LCC.
Employers are also still obliged to serve summonses to conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists, notify the MLC of persons temporarily unable to work, persons on leave/business trip, and monitor their arrival at the MLC.
Another government decree, No. 560, provides for the mailing of summonses to the place of registration of a person liable for military service. The summons will be deemed to have been served even if it was not handed to the person. This is called “absentee” delivery of the summons and will be applied from 16 July, when the 2-month period for updating the data expires.
on 18 May, an updated law on mobilisation came into force. All men aged 18-60 must update their registration details within 60 days – until 16 July inclusive.
The Ministry of Defence launched the mobile application “Reserve” for persons liable for military service, conscripts and reservists on 18 May, after the updated law on mobilisation came into force.
