Russia attacks Kharkiv: houses hit, rescuers among dead

On the night of 4 April, the Russian army once again attacked Kharkiv, using several waves of Shaheds. As a result of the massive attack, the death toll rose to four. Among them are three rescuers. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
Residential buildings at different addresses were damaged as a result of enemy strikes. A resident was killed. In addition, there are victims.
Fires broke out at the sites of the “arrivals”.

Rescuers who responded to a call at one of the addresses were hit again by drones. Two of them died on the spot from their injuries, and one died on the way to the hospital. One rescuer was also injured.


Three units of SES equipment were damaged.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that there were 12 injured in total. Among the injured was an emergency nurse who arrived at the scene with a team to provide assistance.
In addition, one UAV hit a 14-storey high-rise building, causing the destruction of apartments on several floors and damage to an external wall.




The head of the Kharkiv regional state administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that the occupiers had repeatedly launched “shahed” strikes on the territory of the region.
According to him, at least 15 enemy drones were launched, some of which were shot down by air defence forces.
In Kharkiv, the Novobavarskyi district was targeted, and an apartment building was damaged.
The occupiers struck again, killing 3 rescuers who responded to a call. Another 6 civilians were injured.
Another 14-storey building was partially destroyed by an enemy drone, damaging the balconies of the upper floors, glazing and structural elements. A 69-year-old woman was killed.



In the morning report, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Air Defence Forces destroyed 11 Russian drones.
“At night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 20 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Ukrainian air defence forces and means destroyed 11 attack UAVs,”
– the General Staff emphasised.
