Russia attacks Kryvyi Rih with drones: there are victims and destruction

On the night of December 18, Russian troops launched another attack on Kryvyi Rih, using Shahed attack drones. As a result of the enemy shelling, residential areas were hit, and there were civilian casualties. This was reported by the head of the city’s Defense Council Oleksandr Vilkul, [lpmersant] reports
According to the official, the drones hit residential areas directly, after which emergency rescue operations began at the sites of the strikes.
“There are hits in residential areas. Rescue services are already working,” Vilkul said.
Later he clarified that the attack caused fires, which are currently being extinguished by the State Emergency Service.
There are victims and help for people
Local authorities have confirmed that there are victims of the Russian strike. They are being provided with the necessary medical assistance. The number of injured and the extent of the damage are being clarified.
An aid center is being set up for residents of the damaged buildings in the city. It will work in the nearest school, as it did during the previous shelling.
The city authorities also reported that construction materials from the material reserve will be delivered to the site within about an hour to quickly repair the damage.
Kryvyi Rih is regularly attacked by Russia. The occupiers systematically use kamikaze drones and missiles to target civilian infrastructure, residential buildings and critical infrastructure, which is a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
Local authorities are urging residents not to ignore air raid warnings and to take shelter.
