Russia attacks southern Ukraine

On the night of 25 March, Russia attacked the southern regions of Ukraine with drones and a missile. This time, the attack was concentrated in Mykolaiv and Odesa regions, Komersant ukrainskyi
citing information from the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces.
In particular, the defence forces reported that before the drone attack, the Russians fired an X-31P anti-radar missile at Odesa region from a tactical aircraft in an attempt to disrupt air defence systems.
“Then the enemy attacked with several waves of Shahed-131/136 drones from the Black Sea. Four attack UAVs were shot down in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions,”
– the statement said.
However, it was not possible to avoid hits. In the Mykolaiv region, the enemy hit a power facility, a fire broke out and was quickly extinguished by rescuers. No one was injured.
In Mykolaiv itself, the fall of a downed Shahed caused the destruction of a two-storey residential building and a fire, which was extinguished by the State Emergency Service. The blast wave damaged several neighbouring houses. According to preliminary data, 11 people were injured, 2 were hospitalised, and the rest were treated on the spot.
In the Odesa region, the wreckage of a downed drone damaged a power facility and caused a fire. This caused a power outage in part of Odesa and neighbouring settlements. The fire has been extinguished. No one was injured.
