21 January 09:58
On the night of January 21, Russia launched a massive air strike on Ukraine, using Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 97 strike drones of various types. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the military, the launches were carried out from the temporarily occupied Crimea and Donetsk, as well as from the territory of the Russian Federation — from the Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions. About 70 drones were of the Shahed type.
What is known about the consequences
A ballistic missile and 13 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 11 locations.
Debris from downed targets was recorded at one location.
As of 08:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 84 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
The air attack continued, with a few drones remaining in the sky.
The Air Force emphasized that most of the enemy’s weapons had been destroyed, but the risk of repeated attacks remains, so citizens are urged not to ignore air raid sirens and to follow safety rules.

Zelensky dissatisfied with air defense work on “shahids”
President Volodymyr Zelensky called the Air Force’s work on neutralizing Russian drones unsatisfactory.
According to Zelensky, the organization of the Air Force’s work should be different.
“We discussed this situation separately with the Minister of Defense — conclusions will be made,” the head of state emphasized.
