Russia attacks railroad: a number of trains run with delays

A number of trains were disrupted due to a massive Russian attack overnight and the blackout of the railroad infrastructure in Vinnytsia region. “Ukrzaliznytsia has warned passengers of possible delays on key routes, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Delays are expected on the following trains:

  • #87 Zaporizhzhia – Kovel;
  • no. 139 Kyiv – Kamianets-Podilskyi;
  • no. 77 Odesa – Kovel;
  • no. 3 Zaporizhzhia – Uzhhorod;
  • no. 47 Zaporizhzhia – Mukachevo;
  • 32 Przemyśl – Zaporizhzhia;
  • no. 92 Lviv – Kyiv;
  • no. 52 Lviv – Kyiv.

The company noted that some of these trains will be detoured around the damaged section, while those already in the blackout zone will continue to run under backup diesel locomotives.

“Railroaders are doing everything possible to reduce delays and restore the normal schedule as soon as possible,” Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized.

Passengers are advised to follow the updates on the official channels of the carrier and check the current departure time of their trains.

It should be noted that on the night of August 28, Russians massively shelled Ukraine with attack drones and missiles, with the attack focused on Kyiv.
