Russia struck Zaporizhzhia: thousands of residents are without power

In Zaporizhzhia, more than 7,500 households were left without power following a Russian attack. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged, and there are civilian casualties. This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
Consequences of the attack on Zaporizhzhia
According to the regional head, the enemy strike caused a fire and damaged energy infrastructure facilities.
“The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia. A fire broke out as a result of the strike. Over 7,500 customers were left without power. Restoration work will begin immediately after the security situation stabilizes,” Ivan Fedorov said.
Currently, utility workers are preparing to carry out repair work, but the start of these efforts depends on security conditions in the city.
There are casualties from the shelling
According to official reports, three civilians were injured in the attack:
- an 18-year-old man
- a 48-year-old woman
- an 81-year-old woman
All victims are receiving the necessary medical care.

Russian attacks on the region
In total, over the past 24 hours, the occupiers carried out 710 strikes on 34 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Russian forces carried out 18 airstrikes on Malokaterynivka, Veselyanka, Barvynivka, Novoselivka, Lyubytske, Orikhiv, Myrne, Hulyaypil, Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, Kopani, and Verkhnia Tersa.
401 UAVs of various types (primarily FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Rozumivka, Lysogirka, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Lukyanivske, Pavlivka, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Zelenе, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Shcherbaky, Charivne, Varvarivka, Myrne, Tsvitkove, and Hirke.
Five MLRS attacks were recorded on Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, and Novodanilivka.
286 artillery strikes hit Stepnogorsk, Primorsk, Lukyanivsk, Stepove, Maly Shcherbaky, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Charivne, Zeleny, and Pryluky.
Consequences of previous strikes on the city
It was also reported that a 17-year-old teenager died in the hospital after sustaining severe injuries during the previous shelling of Zaporizhzhia on March 14.
Thus, the death toll from that attack has risen to two. Another 21 people were injured.
Power supply situation
Authorities are urging residents to follow official announcements regarding the restoration of power and to observe safety rules during air raid alerts.
