Russia hits power facilities again: there is no electricity, water and heat
30 October 10:37
On the night of October 30, Ukraine experienced one of the largest combined Russian attacks ever. The main direction of the attack is the west of the country, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Massive attack: missiles, “chessmen” and imitation drones
The settlements of Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Vinnytsia, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions were attacked by enemy drones and missiles. According to preliminary information, the enemy used a wide range of weapons: missiles such as X-101, Kalibr, Kinzhal, and probably Iskander-K, as well as hundreds of Shaheds and imitation drones.
Drones and missiles were fired en masse at oil and gas and railroad facilities. Blackout schedules were introduced in all regions.
Ivano-Frankivsk region: Burshtyn without electricity, water and heat
In Ivano-Frankivsk region, Burshtyn, the town where one of Ukraine’s largest thermal power plants is located, came under attack.
The shelling cut off electricity, water and heating. Emergency services are working to localize the damage and connect backup systems.
Lviv region: a strike on Dobrotvir and a large-scale fire
In the Lviv region, Russian missiles hit facilities near Dobrotvor. According to Lviv City Council member Igor Zinkevich, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged and a massive fire broke out.
Emergency services are working at the scene, and the extent of the damage and loss of power supply in the surrounding settlements is being determined.
Vinnytsia region: Ladyzhyn without heat and water
The town of Ladyzhyn, home to the Ladyzhyn thermal power plant, came under fire in the Vinnytsia region.
City council secretary Oleksandr Kolomiets said that the city was left without heat and water.
“We have held a hazardous situation commission and all services have been instructed to eliminate the consequences of the emergency. We are launching in-building water supply columns and organizing the supply of industrial water. An alternative heat supply system is being prepared for launch,” noted Kolomiets.
Kindergartens will be temporarily closed. The established damage assessment teams will start working after the air raid is over. Some residents of the most damaged buildings are to be relocated.
The power supply in the city will be restored after the air raid is over, while the skies over Vinnytsia region remain under attack by drones. Due to the lack of power, public transportation in Vinnytsia is hampered.
