According to Lubinets, the blow came to a crowded place near the store “Aurora” – just when residents were returning from work. Rescuers, medics and military doctors are working at the site. The local hospital cannot cope with the number of injured.
The head of the OBA specified that the enemy dropped a 500-kilogram aerial bomb on a shopping center in the city center. There are probably still people under the rubble – search and rescue operations are continuing.
Preliminary damage:
- at least 30 retail outlets,
- 6 high-rise buildings,
- 8 cars.
About 22,600 people lived in the city at the time of the attack, Filashkin said in a telethon. Since the beginning of July, Dobropillya was subjected to 38 shelling, and 980 people left the city.
Earlier, the Donetsk region temporarily restricted civilian traffic on the highway between Kramatorsk and Dobropolye due to frequent FPV drone attacks. According to the OBA, the enemy shelled this section 21 times in July alone.
