Russians destroy airport in Zaporizhzhia

The Russian army has attacked the airport in Zaporizhzhia. This was reported by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Musa Magomedov on Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Magomedov posted photos showing the extent of the destruction.

“Another beautiful airport has been destroyed, this time in Zaporizhzhia. Burn in hell. In a separate one. For those who destroy our airports – the gates of freedom – there is definitely a personal hell,”

– the MP wrote.

The published photos show that the newly renovated airport building has been significantly damaged.

There are no official reports of deaths or injuries.

This refers to the Zaporizhzhia International Airport municipal enterprise, which ceased operations at the beginning of the full-scale war.

The new airport terminal in Zaporizhzhia was opened on 19 October 2020. The new terminal has a capacity of 400 passengers per hour. About UAH 800 million was spent on the project.
