Russian drones attacked Odessa again: consequences of the strike

14 February 05:22

On the night of February 14, Russian troops once again attacked Odesa with strike drones. As a result of the enemy shelling, a residential building was damaged and a fire broke out in one of the city’s districts. Rescuers and emergency services are working at the scene. This was reported by the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The drone attack damaged a building and caused a fire

According to official information, a single-story residential building was damaged as a result of the drone strike. The strike caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished by employees of the State Emergency Service.

All necessary services — rescuers, police, and utilities — are working at the scene. Information about possible casualties is being clarified.

Local authorities are urging residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to stay in shelters during the threat of attacks.

Odessa is regularly targeted by drones and missiles

The Odesa region remains one of the key targets of Russian attacks due to the strategic importance of its port and energy infrastructure.

In recent weeks, the city has been repeatedly hit by drones and missiles.

In particular:

  • On the night of February 13, Russian drones attacked Odessa’s energy infrastructure, causing serious damage to equipment.
  • On February 12, a high-rise building was hit, damaging apartments and utility buildings.
  • On February 9, shelling caused the destruction of residential buildings and municipal infrastructure.

Russia continues to terrorize civilian cities

Russian troops regularly use strike drones to attack Ukrainian cities, including Odesa. The main targets are residential areas, energy facilities, and civilian infrastructure.

Ukrainian air defense forces are constantly working to destroy enemy drones, but some of them still cause damage to civilian objects.

The authorities urge citizens to remain vigilant, respond promptly to air raid sirens, and follow safety rules.
