A Russian drone struck a cardboard and paper mill near Kyiv: production has been halted

On the night of April 3, Russian drones attacked the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill.
Following the strike, the plant temporarily suspended production to address the aftermath of the attack and ensure the safety of its employees.
This was reported by the plant’s press service , according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
What happened
According to the plant, the Russian drone strike occurred in the Obukhiv area.
As a result of the attack on the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill, production was temporarily halted to assess the damage and address the consequences of the shelling.
The company emphasized that employee safety is the top priority.
What the company produces
The company emphasizes that the plant has no connection to military infrastructure or defense contracts.
The company manufactures everyday consumer goods, including:
- “Obukhiv 65” paper products;
- sanitary and hygiene products from the “Dyvo” line;
- corrugated packaging and other paper products.
The company notes that halting production could disrupt the steady supply of these goods, which Ukrainian consumers use every day.
Consequences of the attack in the Kyiv region
The drone attack affected more than just the company.
According to local authorities, as a result of the massive strike in the Kyiv region:
- one person was killed;
- eight people were injured, including a child;
- residential buildings and other civilian facilities were damaged.

Management at the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill states that relevant services are constantly monitoring the situation.
The company hopes to resume full operations after the aftermath of the attack is cleared up and to continue supplying Ukrainians with everyday consumer goods.
