A Russian drone struck a bus stop in the Odesa region: there are injuries

In the evening, Russian forces attacked the Odesa region with strike drones. As a result of one of the strikes, a drone hit a public transportation stop in the Odesa district, and there are casualties. This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

What is known about the victims

According to preliminary information, two civilians were injured in the attack:

  • an 18-year-old woman
  • A 51-year-old man.

Both victims were hospitalized. Doctors assess their condition as moderate.

Consequences of the drone attack

According to the regional governor, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on the region’s civilian infrastructure.

“In the evening, the Russian army once again launched a massive drone strike on peaceful Odesa region. One of the drones hit a public transportation stop in the Odesa district,” Oleg Kipper reported.

In addition, the following were damaged:

  • transport infrastructure
  • energy infrastructure.

What is happening at the scene

Rescue workers, medical personnel, and other emergency services are on the ground at the strike sites. Work is ongoing to address the aftermath of the attack and assess the damaged facilities.

Authorities are urging residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens and to remain in shelters during threats.

Russian attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure continue, and civilians are bearing the brunt of the strikes. Local authorities and services continue to work on mitigating the consequences and assisting those affected.
