Today, on October 27, at 11:00 a.m., the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity has begun. Every year it is written by Ukrainians and everyone from different parts of the world, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The dictation has been read this year for the 26th time.
The radio dictation has begun
The radio dictation starts at 11:00 a.m. and will be available on several platforms:
- suspilne.radio and Diia.
- on the waves of Ukrainian Radio and Radio Culture;
- live on the air of the Suspilne Culture TV channel;
- on the YouTube channel of Ukrainian Radio;
- on the Facebook pages of Suspilne.
Where to write a radio dictation
Radio dictation can be done both at home and in different places.
Every year, Ukrainian bookstores, cultural institutions, educational centers, businesses, and many others join the radio dictation and write it together.
The military, who are near the front line, also join this tradition.
Anyone can join in, both in Ukraine and abroad.
The radio dictation will be translated into sign language
For the first time, the radio dictation of national unity will be broadcast in dactyl (sign language).
This year, an application is also being submitted for the National Record of Ukraine for the largest mass dictation with sign language interpretation.
Who wrote and will read the radio dictation in 2025
The text of the 25th All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity will be written by Ukrainian writer Yevhenia Kuznetsova, author of the novels Ask Miechka, Ladder, Sheep are Whole, and the nonfiction book about the language reality in the USSR, Language Sword. As the Soviet Empire used to say. In 2023, Kuznetsova’s novel The Ladder became the BBC Book of the Year, and in 2025 it was shortlisted for the Angelus Central European Literary Award.

How and where to send the dictation for verification
Participants of the radio dictation will be able to check their text on their own after the text of the dictation is published on the websites of Ukrainian Radio and Suspilne Kultura. However, traditionally, anyone can also send their dictation to the organizers for verification. To do this, the text can be sent online or offline. It must be done by 11:00 a.m. on October 29.
To send the work online, the text should be photographed or scanned and sent in jpg, png, jpeg, tiff, pdf format to the email address [email protected]. A paper letter can be sent to the following address: 26 Khreshchatyk St., Kyiv, 01001. The postmark should be no later than October 28.
The results of the radio dictation will be announced after the commission processes and checks all the letters received. The exact date will be announced later. For example, last year the radio dictation was held on October 25, and the results were announced on December 4.
