For those who want to become a master’s student for the first time, admission guarantees a deferral from mobilisation. However, applicants who are pursuing a second or third higher education (bachelor’s or master’s degree), as well as those who are studying part-time, will not be granted a deferment.
Deadline for submitting applications
Applications for the budget and contract will be open until 18:00 on 22 August (Kyiv time). After that, institutions will be able to conduct additional recruitment only for the contract (until 31 October). Lists of those recommended for state-funded education will be published by 24 August. Such applicants will have to confirm their choice of study destination by 18:00 on 26 August.
Admission to a Master’s degree programme: how to apply
Applications are submitted through the electronic cabinet on the on the website of the State Agency for Education and Science. To make this process easier for applicants, the Ministry has published a video guide.
What applicants to a master’s degree programme should pay attention to
- after submitting the first application, no data in the electronic cabinet can be changed;
- you can submit up to 15 applications in total: a maximum of 5 for the state budget, the rest for a contract. For all applications for the budget, you need to set priorities from 1 to 5, where 1 is the most desirable application for admission;
- if the applicant has a privilege, it is better for him/her to apply to the nearest educational institution with the relevant documents to enter the information in the register;
- you can cancel your application for the state budget without losing your priority only BEFORE it is considered by the educational institution (i.e. before the status “Registered at the educational institution” or “Needs to be clarified by the applicant” is assigned). After that, you can cancel your application only with the loss of priority.
