On Sunday, November 30, senior U.S. officials will meet with a Ukrainian delegation to discuss a peace plan.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Reuters.
“U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will meet with Ukrainian officials in Florida on Sunday,” a senior official told the agency.
The US peace plan
A few weeks ago, the United States presented Ukraine with a new plan to end the war. It consisted of 28 points and was very favorable to Russia.
According to the document, Ukraine had to withdraw from Donbas, reduce its army, give up long-range weapons, and fulfill a number of other painful requirements.
For this reason, last Sunday, November 23, delegations from the United States, Ukraine, and Europe met in Geneva to finalize the document and make it more favorable to Kyiv. The media reported that the plan had been reduced from 28 to 19 points.
Officially, the United States and Ukraine said that the final details of the document would be agreed upon at a personal meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Currently, the peace plan is being finalized. In particular, Zelenskyy announced that National Security and Defense Council head Rustem Umerov, who headed the Ukrainian delegation after the resignation of Presidential Administration head Andriy Yermak, is on his way to the United States to continue to finalize the document.
Earlier this week, Trump also announced that he would send Witkoff to Moscow. According to media reports and statements in the Kremlin, the visit is expected next week.
