The resistance movement destroyed the railway route of the Russian Federation: the enemy lost ammunition and equipment

On the railway near the temporarily occupied Tokmak in Zaporizhzhya region, guerrillas blew up the tracks and derailed a military train carrying Russian invaders’ cargo. The details of the special operation on the railroad near Tokmak were reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
What happened
According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the explosion occurred between the settlements of Chernihivka and Stulne. The purpose of the operation was to destroy the enemy’s military logistics and complicate the supply of the front.
As a result of the explosion:
- one locomotive, three railroad platforms and at least nine freight cars derailed;
- about 70 meters of railroad track were damaged;
- the movement of the occupiers’ trains has been completely stopped.

Consequences for the occupation forces
The operation caused a significant disruption in Russia’s military transportation, as this section of the railroad is key to the supply of ammunition, fuel and equipment to the Zaporizhzhia direction.
The DIU emphasizes that the actions of the resistance movement significantly complicate the enemy’s logistics and reduce its combat effectiveness at the front line.
Why it is important
Tokmak is one of the main logistics hubs of the Russian army on the southern front. Damage to the infrastructure undermines the occupiers’ ability to quickly move reserves and supply their troops.
The Ukrainian resistance continues to operate deep behind enemy lines, demonstrating that no occupied territory is safe for the Russian military.
