Ryanair will punish passengers for violations – up to 500 euros fine

13 June 13:25

Ryanair, Europe’s largest low-cost airline, has announced a €500 fine for passengers whose inappropriate or aggressive behavior leads to their disembarkation, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The move was part of a large-scale campaign to combat discipline violations on board. Representatives of the company emphasize that passengers expect a comfortable and peaceful flight, without delays and conflicts that can be caused by individual aggressive individuals.

“It is unacceptable for all passengers to suffer because of the behavior of one rowdy. We are introducing a fixed fine of 500 euros for anyone who is disembarked from the plane for indiscipline,” said a Ryanair spokesperson.

Why is it important?

Although incidents like this happen at all airlines, Ryanair has decided to increase its liability to prevent future violations.

In addition to the fine, the company also reserves the right to seek civil damages.

“Such situations, although isolated, are unacceptable, especially in the limited space of an airplane. We hope that this fine will be an effective deterrent and help ensure a safe flight for all passengers,” Ryanair said in an official statement.

Ryanair remains Europe’s most punctual and massive airline, and this step is another confirmation of its intention to guarantee safe and comfortable flight conditions for all travelers.
