Sanctions against Russia: Japan bans exports of 164 more types of goods

Japan has imposed another package of sanctions against Russia. Thus, it has banned the export of 164 categories of goods to Russia. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Japan, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
The sanctions will come into effect on 17 April.
The ban includes pipes used to transport oil or gas, lithium-ion batteries, motor oil for cars, thermostats, nitrocellulose products, and electric hand tools such as grinders, woodworking machines, corks, hard rubber and hard plastic.
In addition, Russia has banned the export of yachts and other pleasure or sporting vessels, including kayaks, canoes, light boats, fireboats, crane vessels and other vessels, floating docks and floating or submersible drilling or production platforms.
Optical, measuring, controlling, precision equipment, photographic equipment and their parts and accessories are also prohibited.
Theban on imports of Russian diamonds for non-industrial use, which was announced after a virtual meeting between Japan and other G7 countries with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in December, will come into effect on 10 May.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said that it is now necessary to increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor state of Russia and introduce sectoral sanctions that will hit the Russian economy.
